January 28, 2026 – Maxic Technology Inc. (688458.SH) officially announced the completion of its strategic acquisition of Shanghai GoChip Microelectronics Co., Ltd. This pivotal move marks a major expansion of Maxic’s intelligent sensing portfolio—from optical sensing to magnetic sensing—and signifies the official launch of a multidimensional perception strategy spanning vision, touch, spatial perception, and motion control, further strengthening its intelligent sensing ecosystem.
Maxic has long been dedicated to high-performance analog and digital-analog hybrid ICs, with products covering optical sensing, wireless charging ICs, wired fast charging ICs, LED driver ICs, and automotive electronics. Maxic deeply empowers communication terminals, smart home, and automotive electronics, while continues to actively expand into emerging markets. Building on its established layout in optical sensors, 1D/3D ToF laser ranging, and multimodal sensor fusion sensing, this acquisition strategically enters into the magnetic sensor field, further extending Maxic’s intelligent sensing portfolio in motion perception and motion collaboration.
GoChip Microelectronics, a specialized and sophisticated enterprise in sensing and control field, has focused on IC design for over a decade and holds dozens of core patents. The company is committed to delivering high-quality sensing and control IC design and application solutions. Its flagship magnetic sensor and motor driver ICs, featuring high sensitivity, excellent temperature performance, and broad application adaptability, have obtained international automotive-grade certifications and are widely used in electric bicycles, industrial and home appliances, automotive electronics, and consumer electronics.
Amid the accelerating wave of intelligence—from precision operations of factory robotic arms and autonomous navigation of logistics robots to responsive smart home terminals—accurate sensing has become a core engine of efficient intelligent systems. Through its multidimensional sensing technology layout, Maxic has built a comprehensive perception solution covering vision, touch, spatial awareness, and motion control, delivering full-chain sensing support from environmental adaptation to fine-grained operation, and accelerating the deployment of intelligent applications.

Ambient light sensors provide the fundamental visual support for smart terminals. By continuously monitoring changes in ambient illumination, they ensure clear and stable visual performance even under challenging lighting conditions such as backlighting or low light. In addition, sensors facilitate automatic day/night mode switching, significantly enhancing environmental adaptability and visual reliability in real scenarios. These capabilities make them well suited for a wide range of applications, including consumer electronics, smart glasses, and industrial control systems.
1D/3D ToF sensors empower smart terminals with precise spatial perception. Through high-accuracy laser ranging and real-time 3D modeling, sensors enable devices to accurately perceive their surroundings, interact intelligently, and act autonomously. In navigation scenarios, sensors support real-time 3D mapping, dynamic obstacle avoidance, and optimal path planning. During operation, sensors provide precise object localization to assist robotic arms with stable grasping. In human–machine interaction, sensors enable gesture recognition and human posture tracking. Serving as a critical foundation for autonomous navigation, safe obstacle avoidance, and complex task execution, ToF sensors are widely applicable in robotics, smart wearables, and consumer electronics.
Multimodal vision sensors act as a form of “sensitive skin” and environmental intuition for smart terminals. By integrating high-sensitivity vision, tactile, and force-sensing capabilities, sensors enable accurate recognition of object shape and texture while simultaneously detecting contact pressure and force distribution. This allows devices to adaptively adjust applied force when handling fragile objects or performing precision assembly, achieving millimeter-level fine-grained operations and empowering advanced applications in industrial automation and intelligent equipment.
Magnetic sensors function as the precision control hub of dexterous hands and joints. By providing real-time position and angle feedback with arcsecond-level accuracy, sensors enable high-precision, low-jitter, and highly stable full-joint motion control. At the same time, sensors can detect minute angular deformations, and combined with algorithms, realize force and torque sensing, allowing devices to accurately perceive operational force and object characteristics and to perform adaptive motion adjustments. In addition, magnetic sensors deliver critical data for dynamic balance, posture adjustment, and internal motor safety monitoring, serving as a core element in ensuring motion stability and operational reliability of intelligent terminals.
Following the acquisition, Maxic will rapidly complete its magnetic sensing product portfolio, covering key categories such as Hall switches, linear Hall sensors, joint-position magnetic encoders, tactile sensors, and current sensors. Now, Maxic has successfully established a comprehensive sensing solution spanning environmental sensing + multimodal fusion sensing + motion sensing, breaking scenario boundaries and enabling cross-scenario reuse across electric vehicles, industrial automation, smart glasses, energy storage safety monitoring, and consumer electronics. It also covers a wide range of industrial and consumer intelligent equipment, including robotic vacuum cleaners, lawn-mowing robots, pool robots, and humanoid robots.
Moving forward, Maxic will continue to drive technical innovation, deepening its expertise and product evolution in sensing technology to provide global customers with smarter, more precise, agile, and reliable one-stop sensing solutions.
