Maxic launched highly integrated, high efficiency 20W~65W overall solution, including primary side controller, secondary side controller and fast charging protocol IC, meeting the requirements of terminal customers, such as high performance, high cost-effectiveness, etc.

Description

MT2300 series SSR controller drives Si MOS, supports 80V VCC and 85kHz operating frequency, and no external LDO is required. The high voltage startup makes the standby power consumption decreases to 30mW. MT2305 and MT2308 integrate Si MOS, further reducing the PCB size and facilitating miniaturization of design.

SSR controller (driving Si MOS)

MT2300 series SSR controller drives GaN MOS, supports 80V VCC and 180kHz operating frequency, and no external LDO required. The high voltage startup makes the standby power consumption decreases to 30mW. MT2311 and MT2312 integrate GaN MOS, further reducing PCB size and facilitating miniaturization design.

SSR Controller (Driving GaN)

MT2200 series SR controller supports above 200KHz operating frequency and multiple operating modes, such as QRM and CCM. It can be applied to high side and low side applications. With 3.3V~21V, MT2200 is compliant with USB PPS. MT2205 integrates Si MOS, facilitating miniaturization of design.

SSR Controller

Maxic launched FCP series ICs, including MT2701 and MT280X, which are compatible with multiple fast charging protocols. MT2701 is fully compliant with various common used and innovative fast charging protocols used by many OEMs, such as USB PD2.0/3.0, PPS, QC2.0/QC3.0, FCP, AFC, BC1.2, Apple 5V/2.4A, and other low-voltage proprietary protocol (5V/4.5A). Thanks to the hardware only structure, the output power is adjusted by external component, making it suitable to customers who do not require USB-IF certification.

The upcoming MT280X series chip integrates programmable MCU, can provide flexible secondary software development based on customer needs, meets Qualcomm or USB-IF certification requirements.

Applications

Maxic provides a variety of fast charging solutions within 65W, including separated solution and sealed solution. They are flexible and diversified, and can greatly accelerate the development process.

Separated Overall Solution(Within 65W)

The typical application circuit is shown above. While designing, customer can choose MT2300 (drives Si MOS), and MT2310 (drives GaN as SSR controller); choose MT2200, with wide output voltage and application range as SR controller; choose MT2701, which is compatible with multiple FCPs as FCP IC. The separated scheme allows customers to leverage their supply chain advantages of Si MOS or GaN MOS to choose the right component.

Sealed overall solution that integrates Si MOS/GaN (Within 65W)

The sealed solution facilities product miniaturization. While designing, customers can choose MT2701 as fast charging protocol IC.

Except for the conventional Si MOS, the fast charging solution Maxic launched can also drive the third generation semiconductor GaN MOS. The rich product line meets the market requirement of diversity and customization. It is applicable to portable devices such as mobile phones and laptops, as well as small household appliances, set-top boxes, LCD screens, and other products. At the same time, Maxic continues to iterate the products, further reducing the peripheral components to realize miniaturization and lightweight terminal products.
